It's a feeling that never gets old, does it? Even after all this time, I still get a thrill the first time I hold an actual printed book that's got some new bit of my work in it. It's even BETTER when I'm publishing it myself.
I can only imagine, though, how good it must be to hold two YEARS worth of work in your hands.
I haven't been a good boy in years! But, we shall see.
Funny side note: I am going to try to run games for the local high school gaming club. Several of the members are friends of my daughter and are pissed they are not in my regular group. I met another one of them at a play I am helping as stage crew for and she liked the concept of Houses. She is into theatre, so that may have been why.
I may be running it for them, if they want me too when the school year starts. Infect them young, I say. :)
Can't wait to get it! My precioussssss. We wants it.
I don't know what you were like when you wrote those *other* books and things, but I was there for a portion of this two years of your life.
I've seen your giddiness (akin to a schoolgirl I must say) when you discover something new about the ven (I didn't use a capital V, thank you) and I've seen you with that grim bit of sadness when you must cut something you love from it because as much as it may be cool and belong in a game and belong in a book, it doesn't belong in this game or doesn't belong in this book.
So I have to say, I'm very very happy to see that book in your hands after I've seen you pour yourself into it. And I know you're in it. The GM section, right there.
The next step for me, having been this close to HotB all this time is to meet the first person that plays it that doesn't know you. That'll be cool.
Good job John. May this modern book of ven never pass into solace.

Congratulations! It's such a good feeling to get a product into your hands that you've poured your love, sweat, blood and tears into. Again, Congratulations!!! I'm so looking forward to getting a copy.
Quoting my friend, who'll be running our Houses of the Blooded game, "Reading through it, it's almost like it's a challenge issued to us by him (Wick)".
I look forward to the challenge, and I am waiting quite impatiently for the book's arrival.
